Asher was founded on January 07, 2007 with the promise to change the lives of those persons currently seeking mental health services from a traditional setting. Asher opened its doors for clients on July 30, 2007 with a vision to help those suffering from mental health disparities by using Christian Based initiatives with a modified traditional approach.  The founders believe and know that the whole person must be modified in mind, body, and spirit and not to resort to only medication as the only alternative.   The founding partner, President and CEO has an extensive education and professional career.  He is not only a Licensed Minister of the Gospel but also a Research and Development Chemist that has worked with fortune 500 companies. His background is a key to the programs developed for behavioral problems on a hollistic level.  He and his wife, who is the co-founder and a mental health professional, became involved in Mental Health in 2005 as officers and administrators of a muliti-facility mental health organization and became aware of the many faceted problems with the mental health system and decided that a change needed to take place. They immediately realized that many companies did not cater to their clients which resulted in a no change situation for the clients.  With a desire and vision to make a difference, they both were called to help the people of Robeson County in North Carolina.   They have developed faith-based programs in conjunction with traditional methods that will ensure a more satisfacatory outcome for Asher's clients.   Whether someone is in need of depression or substance abuse delieverance, Asher has a specific talored program that can bring about change through positive interventions.
